My three keets have been living in a 4x8 pen inside the layer chicken run for the past six weeks (they are 9 weeks old). The chickens free range during the day, with the door to their run open.

The chickens have now learned how to tunnel under neath the pen to get in and eat the guinea food. But the silly things can't get out!

So, I decided that it was time to begin the guinea release program. Yikes! I was soooo nervous that they wouldn't come back. I let out just one guinea when I closed the chickens up last night. Poor little Pie! Spent quite a bit of time trying to get back in his/her pen (I can't tell yet whether they are he guineas or she guineas). This morning, Pie came out with the chickens and spent the day free ranging with them.

Tonight, when I went to close them into their run, I couldn't find Pie! I expected it to be in the run with the other guineas, trying to get into the pen. Do you know where I found him/her? Roosting in the chicken coop! Yay!!! Guinea made it home!!

I've now let out another Guinea. S/he spent a while running back and forth between the guinea in the pen and the guinea in the coop, and has decided to roost in the coop tonight. All is going well.

that is wonderful! my guineas won't stay in the coop, but in the tree next to the run... maybe doing one at a time makes the difference?
