Guinea pigs?

Has anyone ever had a good experience with guinea pigs? I hear their loud and they stink. Do they make a good pet? Are they scared like chickens? Do they like to be held?

Guinea pigs make great pets, and people usually raise them inside as they don't do well in the heat. They only stink if you can't meet the time commitment to clean their cage and care for them. Like most animals, if you can spend lots of time with them, they can very tame!
