So we finally figured out the guineas and occasionally chickens must be laying under my neighbor's porch but it's impossible to get under there. They've been doing this for months. Then the past 2 nights my guinea hen has not returned but my neighbor has seen the pair in her yard. I'm betting everyone $20 she's sitting on eggs under the porch. That means she has both chicken and guinea eggs under there. What will happen if she sits tight for 3 weeks? Will she try to raise chicks or will she hold out for keets? Anyone ever let a guinea hatch chickens? I know usually the opposite is done since they make poor free range parents but I don't have much choice. I'm debating if we should grab the chicks should she manage to hatch them and see if she'll finish hatching the keets. As much as I'd like to since I'm down to a pair of guineas I doubt I can get to the eggs to finish hatching the keets.

A very long pole with a minnow net on the end should retrieve eggs. I don't know much about guineas, but my guess would be that she would leave with the chicks before the guineas hatched.
