Rare color.
6 months.
No name.
It hatched in a group of purebred pearl guineas. It looked like pied at birth. I thought it was interesting. I kept it. It is hard to see in the picture but is has some very interesting coloring.

Breed: Lavender
Age: Almost 1 year
Name: Peanut
Story: Peanut has been the only guinea to survive. We use to have 4 Guineas of all difernt colors and Peanuts sister, Jelly along with 2 older guineas sadly died one night when not getting up in the tree or coop. I have been searching and searching for another guinea but cant seem to find one. And i have no clue if Peanut is a she or a he. It is much easier to tell gender when there are other guineas around.

Of course you knew I would be in on this one.

Here is a pic of my five Guineas that arrove in a clutch as babies last year. They all have the same mom and these guys were the only eggs that hatched. The mom is still running about the farm, but I can not reconize her as she become part of the flock once again.

I believe there are two of the pie balds that are girls and one of the pearls.

The breed is Domestic Guinea and these guys are a almost a year old now.

They do run together and normally stay away from the rest of the flock.
