Hi there!

I have a pair of guineas that I got as keets the end of last summer. They've grown and matured and the female is laying eggs. I know I have a male because of the sound the other makes. But, none of my eggs are fertile. My question is, if they're the same age and the female is been laying eggs for over a month now, is my fella not interested in his lady to shake and bake?... Is it normal for a pair of guineas not to mate or am I hoping they'd do their thing to early?

Thank ya!

I'm quite sure. The other doesn't lay eggs and waddles are larger than the one I know is a female. And one sounds are very distinct than the other... These are my first guineas but the YouTube videos I've watched match the sound of a male and female that mine make.
I'm at a loss. Haha!

I've placed eggs in the incubator and candles after 10 or so days with no development. Cracked one open after I took them out to confirm and nope.. No development.

No, they do free range but stay with the chickens. He will chase the chickens but I have not really seen him chase her. Although, he had a chicken cornered he other day... Think he's getting confused? ha! I may just chalk it up and say I have a dud guinea. Get a couple more keets and hope one of them turn out to be a male too.

Thank you much for trying to think through it with me!!
