Have 7, 13 week old guineas. Raised with 6 chickens since they were all day old chicks/keets, all free ranging during day and penned together at night. Have had no pecking order issues until yesterday. All of a sudden 5 of the guineas 'turned on' two of their own. One female and one male have been so traumatized, and seemingly individually, that they won't come out of the coop/pen. We heard a scuffle during the night two nights ago and found 3 on the floor of the pen rather than in the roosts/rafters, but don't know what happened and they settled down after that. Then yesterday, the 2 stayed to themselves while free ranging in the yard and would be attacked by the other guineas if they went near them. I managed to get them into the coop by themselves for the night last night and the others roosted as normal in the pen. But this morning, the 2 will not come out of the coop and are just sitting cowering on a roost. The chickens don't seem to be involved in any of the attacks, just the guineas. They have always stayed together as a group prior to this. Any insight or suggestions as to what could be going on and what I can do would be so greatly appreciated. I love all my babies and this is very upsetting.
