How many guineas is a good number to start with? I will be buying some from the local feed store in the next coming weeks and I wanna know how many I should get. I heard a dozen was a good number to start with but I was hoping I could get away with less. All help is appreciated! Thanks!

I'm glad you joined the BYC "flock".

I've never kept Guineas, so don't know what a good number to start with is.

You may want to post in the Guinea Fowl section to see if you get more answers: Guinea Fowl

Good luck with your future Guinea Fowl!

I wouldn't get any less than five, they do better in a small group. Make sure to keep them inside for a month or so or they will leave, guaranteed.

Sorry I don't know anything about guineas except they are great tick eaters, and sound the alarm whenever they are upset.
