Gypsy Moths have a purpose! They’re chicken toys/snacks.

Every evening I study with a lot of interest the deck door screen, the kitchen window screen etc and I "harvest" whatever seems suitable for my quails. They love the June bugs and the moths. I put whatever I find under upside down containers and feed the birds in the morning.

Mine will chase moths, too! Right now those awful tent caterpillars are starting to come out, and the chickens will pluck them out of the air as they dangle on their threads.

It is chicken TV isn't it...Since we got our chicken this spring, Instead of watching endless judge shows in the afternoon my wife and I sit on the back deck watching chicken TV and shooting the shit together, Much nicer.

You betcha! I really do believe a lot of the problems we have in society today could be solved by watching chickens and talking to each other. I mean, who doesn't laugh at "Rooster Dance", or doesn't enjoy watching the sporting events like "Chicken Keep-Away".

Our family goes out every evening after dinner and we let the chickens out of the runs and watch them until they are ready to roost. My dad is 85 and has dementia, but he loves sitting outside and watching the chickens. Sometimes, a neighbor will walk over into the yard and enjoy the show as well.

I cleaned out the bug zapper today, knocking all the fried moths of it it with a stick since it was getting pretty caked with them. I had several chickens around my feet snacking on the bits as they dropped.
