hackle coloring

don't laugh, this is my project- this hen in the front is the result of ee x true araucana roo. The mother was penciled but not this color in her hackles.the roo is splash. While I did get the tailess muffled bird, I am wondering why she has white hackle feathers. is this considered leakage.I plan on a few more crossings but with true amercaunas.she is my experiment , but I am thinking I could get consistent color if I use birds that are standard colors and I know their background. Ps dh calls her frankenchicken.

No, Thats not really leakage, thats just the typical Silver Duckwing pattern.

agree on duckwing pattern, but the breast is dark enough I would say gold duckwing rather than silver.
