I KNow that bantam eggs hatch 2-3 days early than LF eggs but yesterday, I had a lf egg hatch on day 18 along with a bantam egg. the lf chick had its intestines coming out so we culled him. probably because he was early by 3 whole days! anyway, I'm hoping it was just a fluke and that I don't get anymore early lf eggs. the bantam chick is perfectly fine under his brooder lamp and his brother is pipping as well. So, my question is, is it possible that that egg just hatched early just by chance? and that all my other eggs aren't gonna end up like this one?
