Update:
I have 6 various traps set right now. I have a really good feeling about tonight. At least I'm hoping for a little payback tonight! Last night I was on the back deck laying flat on my belly for over an hour. Listening. I've been hunting before so I know the rules

Our back deck is almost like a tree house. It's probably about 10 feet off the ground. I was downwind as well. The chicken coop to the right. The goose kill zone to the left behind the pool house. Can't see a dang thing because it's so dark but I've got ears like a bat-at least that's what the kids and the DH tell me. I so wish I had night vision goggles. A friend of ours loaned us his a couple of years ago because we had a problem with an older teenager singing at the top of his lungs (horribly) at 2-3 o'clock in the morning. We had planned on using the night vision to sneak up on him and mess with him. But, of course, he never came out while we had the goggles.

It would have been so much fun, though!!! I'll be laying down on the deck again tonight for a bit before I hit the sack. I so hope that I hear the traps do their magic.

well...that sucks! but no dead chickens right?
