Had to cull a couple week old roo today.

We'd been to a family reunion today and we get home and hear of chick peeping like crazy. Well its one of the younger chicks I got with a brood hen. This little roo was being very very aggressive towards his brother. His brother was bleeding around the ear area and the aggressive one just wouldn't quit, the brood hen could care less too it seemed.

So I decided to cull him before he killed another chick and started on a second and third.

Anyone else had this problem from very young roos trying to kill each other?

Aww that is sad but you did what you had to do. I hope my roo doesn't do that! I don't know what we would do! I don't know if we could cull him. Were weak that way. Maybe after we HAVE to once it will become easier for us. Were new to chickens!
