I had well over 20 quiters on my last hatch, they were all very well developed with the egg sacks fully consumed and everything. I have never had so many before maybe 1 or 3 but not 20, the incubator conditions were perfect all the way through the hatch.

Anybody have any Ideas on what may have caused this ??.

Yes it was sanitized well before use, I hadn't thought about bacteria good point, but when candled they didn't show any telltale sign of bacteria on the shells either.

I'm having an issue like that with my turkey eggs and I'm not sure what the issue is with mine either. They will start to develop, and then I'll end up with about a quarter of them turning to blood rings after the first 10 days or so. Then by 2 weeks in, half or so of what is left will die for no obvious reason. And the rest will die between then and hatching. I have yet to have any make it to hatch so far out of 30 eggs. The last batch, after being 3 days overdue, I candled them, and they were just a solid dark mass inside. I opened them up, and I KNOW I had seen life in them, they were developing...but when I opened them, all that was in there was nasty orange goo. I have checked my humidity, checked my thermometers, checked the thermostat, everything...It's frustrating.

Yep I got an idea.

Nutrition.

Even though you feed the birds the best that there is our weather has come into play here. Those eggs were layed at a time when our weather was bad and the hens were using up the energy to stay warm and not putting it into the eggs as they should have. Even when the birds are under cover as your's are on wet, rainy days they won't get off the roost and eat as much as on sunny days.

Thank's Les, I have since made some feed changes, for my most prized breeders.

Maybe your thermometer and hygrometer was off. Maybe you opened the incubator to often or maybe your stock wasn't fertile or wasn't healthy. I know this is very frustrating!!!!!!!
