CLEAR NAIL POLISH WORKS!! Heres the proof (if you have no leakage from egg and it was fertile to begin with
)
Our 2 year old smashed this egg onto a counteredge while we were candling at day 16 of incubation-Aaaaaaahhhhh!!
Same egg, different view=
We put several coats of clear nail polish on it, put it back under our broody hen, continued candling till day 20, and look who hatched out!!
Try it, you have nothing to lose, but please watch out for stinky-ness and if you candle, check it for signs of life before setting it so you dont accidentally set a rotten egg!!
Good luck!!
Edited= The wetness you see on the egg is the clear nail polish, not any fluid from the egg! Amazingly, the inner membrane of the egg was not broken and no pieces of shell were actually dislodged!
