Haha Oregon, good use over there....not so great over here...we already have a natural predator to stray dogs and cats., as well as too many deer...but the snows of the last two winters knocked the deer down a bit. Nice to be able to fence everything, miles of fence needed for that, coyote will figure it out anyway.

for all the coyotes here they haven't touched the deer population. if that is what they were released for then they failed miserably. a better solution would have been to classify deer as a nuisance species and open up the season year around. even lower hunting liscences and fees and encouraging more hunters instead of continually raising fees and liscences so only the rich can afford to hunt. the last deer i hit with my car cost the insurance company $3000 and the one before that almost put me in the hospital. thanks to the va. dept. of game and inland fisheries we can expect millions more $$$ from deer hitting cars and thousands more$$$ from livestock losses due to the coyote. government management at its best.
