Haloween devil eggs

The eggs were hit! All the other teachers & visitors had to make special trips to the class to see them.

I am thankful to still be able to send homemade goodies to school, but I was the only one in DD class & only 1 mom did in the class across the hall. Seems everyone is into prepackaged foods it seems! Our town doesn't have a stoplight 250 kids pre-k-12th. The kids even wore their costumes-- had a costume contest first thing this am & then walked around to the businesses & trick-or-treat during school. I am sure they are one of the few schools doing that! (we only have a couple of businesses, gas station, post office, general store). Kids had a blast!

We will prob make more eggs this weekend since I will have some family here. I am sure my kids will want them every yr from now on.....

Very creative! Bravo!

I know the town you live in. We used to live in Elgin. Out at Lake Ellsworth. What a small world. Hello.

Guessing you were stationed @ Ft Sill? Dh has been @ ft sill since the end of 98-- he has done a few short tours, but keeps returning so we bought this place and plan to retire here. Elgin has GROWN so much since we got here. They have a mcD's subway & sonic now. They are creating lots of subdivisions there now & property is starting to get high!

We were stationed there several times. The last time was 1997 till 2003. We came to Ga. Where he retired and we live here now. I was in Elgin a few years ago. I saw the Sonic. But not the others. We still have alot of friends there. I loved it there.

I wish I could send treats like that to my kids' school. The sign on the front door of our school says, "Thank you for bringing food for YOUR child ONLY!" How crazy is that?
