Post pictures, stories, advice, facts, and tips on raising Hamburgs (Any breed of Hamburgs are welcome). I am new to this breed and love them already.

I should be receiving my Silver Spangled Hamburgs in the mail next week. I do not know much about the breed but I guess I am about to find out. I have heard they are very skiddish.

Mine were skiddish at first but if you handle them they aren't that bad. Hope your chicks come in alive and healthy.

Hello everyone! I think I have a Golden Spangled bantam here:

He's an inside rooster, Finn.

I have 3 silver spangled and one splash Hamburg. They are wonderful layers. Mine are skittish. I guess I would be too if I were so small.
The silvers fly very well. Something I keep in mind while I have mine out in the big yard.
The eggs are small but the quality is very high. Mine will let me pick them up to put them in the coop at night. ( For some reason they want to sleep on top of the nest box instead of inside the coop.) They are the only ones that want to stay outside.
Very pretty birds for sure.

The one on the left is the splash Hamburg. I suspect a mix since she lays light tan eggs.

I was worried one of these was going to be a rooster since one is darker but they are both hens.
They were about 16 weeks when this pic was taken.
