is there any way to hand turn when you work 12 hour shifts? i work 4 12s- 2 days and 2 nights then i'm off 4 days. is there any possible way to hand turn or is my default an auto turn bater?

Last fall I had the motor on my automatic turner go out without me knowing it. The eggs weren't turned for over two weeks. Two of the three viable eggs still hatched. The third died while hatching. I'm thinking that turning, while important, may not be as important as we seem to think. I currently have two incubators going. One has a new automatic turner. The other contains eggs in an open carton. I have been placing a block of wood under one end of the carton and switching which end, once or twice a day. So far, both incubators have eggs in about the same level of development. We have one week to go. I will let you know how it goes.
