Well, at least I THINK he is handicapped....I hatched out six Ancona ducklings. At first two looked like they wouldnt make it but one of those is doing well. The last one, he peeps all the time and stumbles around until I set him back with his sibs under the light.
I have tried to make it so he cant wander and that seems to be working.
Any other suggestions for this little one?

Poor thing.
On the worst case, it might be a failure to thrive situation and not much you can do.

On the other hand, he might be a late starter and will pop up.
I used to take the loud peepers into my apron pocket and carry them around with me.

Yeah, I am going to do my best with him. I just figured putting a barricade up so that he couldnt wander so far was the best thing.
And carrying him around in an apron pocket sounds like a good idea.

At least I know if he doesnt thrive, I tried.

Hmmm...
One of the white ducklings I got from Holderreads yesterday (I think they're Stanbridge Whites) peeps ALL THE TIME - and the brooder is in my bedroom!

But, my little "Peeper" also sits right under the heat lamp, dozes with his "brothers and sisters" (I swear he sleep-peeps), eats, drinks, and poos - so I'm not worried about it.

It sounds like you're doing everything you can for your little one! I'm crossing my fingers for you!

This morning he ended up separated from the other ducklings again.

He and another one have "puffy" eyes so sometimes I dont think they can see where they are going?
Does anyone have experience with that?
The littlest one, the one that I say is "handicapped", his balance is definitely off as well.
I will check on here later, going offline.

My pekin was a crazy loud peeper who never stopped. I'm talking almost 24 hours, in her sleep peeping. Strange thing is now she still makes noise all the time. I think it drives the scovy crazy.

Maybe he just needs some supplements/electrolytes to get some strength.
