handling young chicks

we got new chicks last week and i was wondering how much i should pick them up . i was thinking the more i do the more they will get used to humans. im new at this so im not sure about my theory

Im new as well, but in my research I read that the first 48 hours they should be handled minimally so they can recover from shipping (if you got them shipped) but then after that they should be ok. I try and handle each of mine for a few minutes at least each day, and give them food/ treats out of my hand a few times a day. They all come running now when they see my hands and a few are even starting to jump up to the side of the brooder for extra pets and scratches!
