On Dec 25, 2007, I joined BYC, I had my 4 quackers: Hershey Duck, Twinkie Duck, Emeril Duck, and Whitey Duck. It didn't even take a full month for me to fall for the hatching bug and I acquired a Hovabator off of Ebay for a good price. Hershey Duck had just started laying so I put a few of her eggs in with a few of Whitey's eggs and hoped for the best! The very first baby to hatch was a beautiful little Runner baby we thought was a male and so named it Bubba. Bubba soon fooled us and started laying eggs, Bubba became Babette. Babette will be celebrating her second birthday tomorrow, Jan 30, by moving in with her own handsome boyfriend, Peeper Duck. Here is Babette as a baby:
