Finally after 500 years of waiting WE HAVE AN EGG!!!!!!
I have been so waiting to post this thread. It is from my RIR who was 20 weeks old on Monday. I actually DID scream and dance in my coop (noone else was around).
The girls just stared at me!!!

It is so cute, can't wait for more....13 more chicks to go!!!!

I've had 3 eggs so far and 1 was laying when I left the house this morning so I probably have one waiting for me at home.

I show all the other chickens the eggs when I get them. They look at me like I'm nuts. I hold it out and they come running like I have a treat and I say "look what _______(Boo or Purdy) gave me!" They look in my hand and see an egg and then look at me like "ummm momma it's an egg". They just walk away from me.
