Hello everyone I have just recently joined this group because recently a few of my birds have had issues that I don't know what they are caused by or how to fix them. We have recently gotten turkeys and they are young poults. One of them has recently become lethargic and is sleeping a lot. It doesn't eat but it drinks. We tried to give him his favorite treat crickets but he did not want them. He seems to be trying to cheep but you can't hear it. I noticed that he had some pasty but so I gently wiped the poop off with a warm rag. But he is still acting lethargic and is just sitting there. Does anybody know what may be wrong with him and what I can do to save his life?

Welcome :welcome
Sorry I can’t help you but I do hope you will find or get answers for all you’re questions.

It is better to post you’re questions as a new thread in the emergency’s /disease’s / sick bay forum. Some cracks visit the new threads there especially to help members with health issues.

Here you probably get mostly a warm welcome 🤗

Welcome to BYC. I haven't a clue about turkeys. I assume that pasty butt is the same as for chickens.
Do you have a heat source? Is it too hot or too cold? Too much heat will make chicks lethargic, so assume turkeys also.
What are you feeding? I believe turkeys need more protein than chicks.
Try some rooster booster or poultry cell in water per directions. If you can't find any, use poly-vi sol infant vitamins with no iron. Drop one or two drops on his/her beak daily.
I know turkeys get cocidosis too. It is a big deal with chicks, and can kill them quickly. Lethargy and runny (sometimes bloody) poop is the first symptom. Corid is used to treat it.
Good luck!
