Happy to be here. Not new to raising chickens, though I know there are many things we could be doing smarter to make the process less harder.

This is my fill in the conversation pic of two newest members of our flock.

Right now we are considering getting an automatic coop door opener and looking for reviews. Our neighbor had one and a raccoon ripped it open .

Anyway, trials and tribulations of this hobby…

Welcome to BYC. I'm afraid I can't help with that. I don't have any auto doors. My coops are open to secure runs 24/7 so I only open doors when I am out with them.

I open the door for them every morning.

Hiya, and welcome to BYC!

Hubby won't allow me automatic doors because he hand made every door x about 8 of them. He is considering inventing one though in our breeding coop (4 doors) with an old garage door opener. That's in his spare time, so ask me in a couple of years how that worked.
