Hi everyone! The question is do I hardware cloth around coop? It’s raised and on stones since 2015. I attached the chicken run to it. With the chicken run I will be laying 2 ft of hardware cloth around it.

There is a section where the run and the coop meet. Should the cloth go down on the run side or under the coop?

I’ll show pictures. Any advice will be greatly appreciate!

This is a work in progress:)

I would cut the ends of those 4x4 protruding skids flush with the siding. Then attach a 2 ft wide apron around the coop and the run securing the outer edges with landscape pins. Just let the grass grow up through it.
I bought a roll of stainless steel wool and tore pieces of it off to stuff between the corners where the hardware cloth apron meets to keep rodents out.
Cut another strip of the hardware cloth and attach it along that gap between the run framing and the coop to secure that area.
For the gap under the coop on the run side, you could just build that up with large field stones to prevent digging under there.
