We called Montgomery county animal resource center they said they allowed, we see other have chicken in Northridge but can find any laws on them, and no one seem to know anything when you call them. We got 6 chicks yesterday 2 Rhode Island Reds, 2 Silver Laced Wyandotte, 1 Black Jersey Giant, and 1 Ameraucana, They are already spoiled. Just don’t want know troubles we have two lots so we have land.,

Usually the Local Authorities will have laws pertaining to things you cant do. It is just common sense. They are not going to make silly or trivial laws that are allowing you to do things soo many other places allow. Also for example;;; If they made a law to allow you to keep chickens, and then changed their mind, then they would have to overturn their previous law. It is easier for authorities to just make things illegal at time when the need arises. If other peeps are keeping chickens, then most likely you wont have any problems. This is when problems arise.;; 1) You keep roosters and they annoy neighbors. 2) You overdo it on your numbers and annoy neighbors with other issues associated. ( creating farm in urban setting.)

Thank you we don’t plan on keeping any roosters, I know some of the others does have a few roosters. But we didn’t want the roosters to bug the neighbors, Plus we plan on sharing eggs with our neighbors too.
