HAS ANY ONE GOT A WELSH FOX HOUND OR HEARD OF THE breed!!!!!!!

I have a welsh fox hound and she is gorguose but i have never seen another one that is kept as a pet i dnt no ehy the breed hasnt caught on as they have the best temperament i have ever seen in a dog ( she was even scared when i brought my 8 week old kitten home lol) but i jst want to know if anyone has even ever heard of the breeed before or am i the only 1 !!!!!!!!

Do you mean these guys? While I was a groomer I got to see 1...sort of uncommon I guess. She was sweet and was goo to groom though.

no this in the hound group but the breed isnt recognised by the kennel club as they are soo rare and are now only really used for the hunting packs in wales heres a pic of her

those are of when she was a puppy shes much hairier now and put on wieght !!

HI,

I live in Wales and I once knew a great many Welsh Foxhounds. I used to ride with the local hunt and we had about 40 dogs.

While everyone used to be very nervous of these killer dogs I knew them as they really were. Big softies. I even had one that followed me to school frequently.

I stopped riding long ago and the hunt is banned here now, although some do still ride out as exercise with the dogs and have a mock hunt.

But the dogs were excellent.

I don;t have any photos, my dad was obsessed with cine cameras in those days, and the films hae all been lost but I will search for some pics for you.

yes we think she migh of come from a pack but when i got her from the animal sanctuary tht i worked at she got really stressed frm bein with other dogs so i dont no wot happnd with tht lol some pics would be very nice thankyou
