has anybody tried a green roof on their coop?

I might need some Ritalin, my mind is going 90 miles an hour in all directions.

However, I have looked at the soft slope of my chicken enclosure and considered adding succulents to the roof.
Not sure how to go about it, perhaps a mix of Vermiculite and sand, on landscape fabric or foil. then add all those sedum species. we seldom get had frost here. Not that I need the extra green, due to a flat lawnmower tire the grass is as tall as an elephant's eye right now....

Green roofs require beefier structures to support them. They weigh a lot more than conventional roofs. If you want to do that you're going to have to reframe accordingly to support the extra load.
 
This is not mine - I saw it on a neighborhood garden tour a few years back. Looks pretty simple, and the tray might even be removable so you can replant once they get too big.
