Has anyone crossed a Self blue and Splash Cochin?

I'm familiar with blue and splash, so if you are referring to a self blue that is solid blue over the body, but still classified in blue, as the terms can be ambiguous, you will get 50% blue and 50% splash both genders.

If you are talking about self blue as in lavender, I had to run that on the chicken calculator as both the lavender and the splash carry black diluting genes but slightly differently. The calculator tells me that the result will be 100% blue chicks both genders.

I've not bred mottle to self blue, but again the chicken calculator can help us out. It tells us that that result would be 100% black chicks carrying self blue gene.

I'll post the calculator below. It helps me when I'm not quite sure what the plumage will be doing.

Self blue is another word for lavender.

Lavender is diluted black, and basically acts like black genetically from what I had gathered. So crossed with a splash would make 100٪ blue chicks that carry lavender (which is recommended against breeding because those two colors look so close, and it can cause problems if someone buys those blues for a bbs pen, since they can start showing lavender in other generations). Crossed to a mottled would be 100% black chicms that carry lavender and mottling
