Has anyone ever lost chicks through the mail?

Thank you! It is really sad and I just don't want to open that box and find any dead or sick ones.. I'll definitely update on how it all goes!

Last Friday I got 16 Silkie chicks from cackle, my first time ordering chicks shipped in mail. I ordered 15, all alive and well on arrival. I lost one on Sunday not sure why. All others are active eating and growing like weeds, I’m dealing with pasty butt on a few which I’ve never dealt with when I hatch my own. I was a nervous wreck but all went well.

No, not Gatorade. There are homemade electrolyte solutions posted on BYC, or make a new post to ask for a recipe. They sell packets of chick electrolytes solution too.
