My 10 month old Buff Orpington was acting strange last week - standing by herself, looking lethargic. I gave her some vitamin E, Selenium, and Kochie Free mixed with applesauce in some of her food. She ate it and seemed to get better. That was last week. Then suddenly today, I went out to check on the flock (they free range in my yard), and I saw her standing there alone with something weird looking beside her (see photos attached). It looks and feels like something rubbery - definitely not poop. There is no blood or egg shell - I‘m completely lost. She has let out two smaller chunks of the same thing twice more over the last several hours. What could be going on? This is my 5 year old’s favorite chicken and we are all very concerned.

FYI - It looks like there is white stuff around the thing in the first pick- it rained and that’s just the reflection of the sky in the water.

That appears to be lash egg material from a condition called salpingitis or inflammation of the oviduct. Antibiotics may be useful in the early stages. Enrofloxacin (Baytril) is one that can be used, or Aqua Mox amoxicillin.
Is there any way to get one of those antibiotics without a vet? There is no vet within 100 miles of me who will treat chickens and I am desperate.

You can get oral enrofloxacin here: https://jedds.com/products/enrofloxacin-10?_pos=1&_sid=bfb0de455&_ss=r
Inject-able can only be gotten through a vet.
Amoxicillin can be gotten online as Fish Mox, there are many sources, do a search for that and you can compare price and shipping times and costs. I've heard some Tractor Supply stores may carry it now, but have never seen it in mine yet.
Personally I would try the enrofloxacin, I've not had any luck treating it with amoxicillin. It's notorious for not responding to treatment, so hope for the best, but be prepared that if it's not early enough, it may not be successful. It may buy more time for the bird, it's hard to predict.
