Has anyone ever tried tea-stained eggs?

I was intrigued by this recipe, - the eggs look so pretty! Has anyone ever tried this?

I've made them for decoration, not for eating. Mine did not have the spices, just steeped in strong tea for a long time. I wouldn't even try to eat them. They are beautiful.
