Has anyone ever used this pet playpen.

Hi everyone. I have a rabbit named bella and she is turning one is a week. For her birthday I'm getting her a new play pen and i was wondering if anyone had used this playpen before, and if it's good for rabbits. thanks

Happy birthday to Bella! What a lucky bunny. I haven’t tried this brand before but I used a similar style of pen for my guinea pigs. They loved it! If you have hawks or other flying predators in your area though you may want to cover the top with some netting to protect your rabbit.

I'm not sure if I have that exact one but I do have one very similar to it and it works very well. Just make sure you give her lots of love and let her out every once and a while, especially when she gets bigger.

This is only 2' tall. Depending on your rabbit they may go right over the top of it. My NZWs can and do clear things taller than this with ease. I even had a young buck clear 3'. So you might want something taller or something with a top.

If you plan on using this outdoors, consider oiling the bottom regularly before and after use or it will rust out unless your climate is VERY dry. And remember to monitor outdoor rabbits for digging.

Otherwise this should serve you well.

I have a similar pen that works well for my bunnies, not the same brand. I agree with others that either you should sit out there with her or find a top for hawks. I've never had a rabbit dig out of the pen, though I guess that depends on how much they dig lol. I actually bought two cages and combined them for more space.

I can't remember now the exact size of my pen...I know it's about up to my waist, though, and I'm between 5'4 and 5'5. Like others are saying, you want a taller pen, but if she's not an escape artist you might get away with a smaller one.
