Has anyone ever.....

Never seen an EE california white mix, but I have mixed a EE male with a White Leghorn female. It produced a big, fat cream colored hen who laid about 2 gargantuan, light blue eggs total over her lifetime. Actually, the eggs were so huge, she died of egg binding. She was built like an Easter Egger hen, and had some of the prettiest muffs and beard. Here is a pic of her when she was a few months old.

Sorry for your loss. It's was a pretty bird. I'll try my cross in the spring and see what happens, as California Whites are half leghorn.

Actually, california white is more than half leghorn. It's a mix of california grey and leghorn. CG has lots of leghorn blood in them. So california white is almost like Leghorn with a few spots.
