Has anyone ordered feed from Chewy??

Geez your picky!! Are you usually able to find it that fresh? If not do you change brands?

The owner of the feed store I buy from is part owner of a feed mill and they get weekly deliveries straight from the Mill, whereas the TSC near me sells bags that are 3-6 months old, which is too old for me, so I don't buy feed from TSC.

FYI , Kalmbach 17% layer feed cost me $15 and change for 50lbs locally. Chewy sells the same bag for $26.99. I will say this like @Cindy in PA said you can not go wrong with Kalmbach feeds. Very good quality but I prefer the $15 price tag.

I can get feed within four weeks of the mill date, and usually fresher, from the local TSC's here. Older isn't better, and I feed it within another month at most.

I hope no one thinks I meant older is better. I guess I should edit my post to say I won't buy from TSC because their bags are too old.

I absolutely didn't mean that!
The local feed stores have a mix of new feed, and old stuff, and some very old. Stock rotation seems to be a lost art! I check every bag, and buy the fresh stuff, and go elsewhere if there's a problem.
New folks with six chicks who buy stuff that's older than six months, because they don't know to check the mill dates, might have real issues with those chicks. maybe that's a reason that so much Nutridrench seems to be used and help?
