has anyone ordered java chicks from Urch-Turnland or other hatcherys ?

if so what are they like ?? do you have pics? did the bottoms of the feet have pink or are they yellow?

Hi there. Have never had Javas, but have purchased standard blue/black cochins from Urch's and they are really nice. I show, both county fair here in wisconsin, as well as a couple of local poultry club shows. Had a few take top asiatic awards at the local club shows. I also had bantam cochins at one time from him (purchased at international poultry show in portage). They were good show quality and when I got out of the bantams, the 4-Her I sold some to, had a roo that took best in show at our county fair, 3 years in a row. birds can be a bit pricy, but feel they are worth it from Urch's

The Java club's website can help you find quality (bred to the APA Standard of Perfection) birds. Monte Bowen in Kansas has excellent birds in large Fowl and bantam.
