Has anyone tried Bokashi Bran?

I read that Bokashi Bran fed to chickens (mixed in their feed 5%) helps to significantly reduce the odor of their poops and makes them firmer and easier to clean up. Apparently, it also helps the manure to compost quicker so that it won't burn your grass. It seems to be very commonly used in the UK. I am intrigued and would like to try this with my girls. Anyone have experience with this? Does it work?
