Has anyone used their chickens in live animal education programs?

That's cool! I like how you were able to use your fowl for different school purposes. I think this shows you can bring any subject alive with feathered friends. I think you should definitely expand your Peafowl program for your senior project. Good Luck!

I'm hoping to. I would love to go to a school may it be elementary, middle, or high school and teach about peafowl. I'm sure it would have to be an Agriculture class or a Science class I would have to do a poultry segment with peafowl in a class.

This seems like it would be a great idea!!

Maybe once I finally get my license I could start doing something like this. Or maybe people could even come to our house, we have plenty of property. We'd probably have to clean it up a bit though as we have stuff hidden everywhere lol

It seems like fun though.

Although I was actually just thinking that it'd be really cool if I got goats or alpacas or something or even horses/donkeys or mini cows! I think horses would be too much work though and even if not there really isn't a place to ride them on the property. Our yard is huge and we own some woods and everything but our yard is extremely hilly so there's no place to really put a ring or anything. Plus they're so expensive. And cows I wouldn't do because of the smell (don't wanna bug the neighbors TOO much. :p). But mini horses or goats might be okay. Although I'd probably still have to have a dentist and farrier for the mini horses right?

anyway, point being, they probably wouldn't necessarily want to travel all the way out here for just chickens, especially with such a big property and nothing on it except that in one corner, so I'd have to maybe get goats or something too.
