Its temperature is not stable at all! im not kidding, you have to watch it all the time because the temperature swings so much! i have had really bad hatch rates in these. If you want a cheap incubator but that is better quality than get the 1588 Hova bator you can see it here: http://www.eggcartons.com/The-Genesis-Hovabator-Incubator/productinfo/1588/

you
dont have to mess with the temperature at all because its already pre programed in all you have to do is fill a try with water turn it on and add your eggs! no hassle at all with temp!

I have two Little Giants both keep steady temps. But from what I hear online it's the luck of the draw on the Little Giants with accurate temp. I lucked out. I use the still air for incubating with a automatic turner. I use the other which has a fan, for hatching.

I'm using an lg right now. This is my first hatch and it is a borrowed one from my DIL's grandmother. I'm not sure how old it is, but she hasn't hatched any eggs that I know of for a few years. My DS used it to hatch quail eggs 3-4 yrs ago. I haven't had much trouble with my temps. I had it on for about 3 days before I set my eggs. I had to make an adjustment or two after the eggs went in, but not much trouble at all. I have 3 aquarium thermos and 1 cheap accu-rite thermo/hygrometer combo inside. I check them several times a day. So far I'm on day 12, and everything is looking good. I'm doing a dry incubation. I candled on day 10 and out of the 13 I set, I had to take 1 out, wasn't fertilized, the others that we could see all looked right on target. My ee and maran eggs were to dark to see much but I think I saw movement in a maran. So about 4-6 we could see had movement. I would recommend the lg. Granted, the no fuss ones would be nice, but I can't afford the more expensive ones. There is a thread on this site "Little Giant Hatch along". go there and see what all of the posters have to say. Happy hatching!!

I forgot to mention I also added a fan on mine. It was a still-air. Put a computer fan out of an old computer I had sitting around. Was a suggestion of several lg users on byc.

thats cool if i get one i will have one of them we had one my dad took out of his computer and switched it with a bigger one
