I am in the process of finishing my coop before my ladies are ready move outside.

I am doing poop boards and then a layer of pine shavings on the coop floor.

In an attempt to A-keep the smell down to a minimum and B-use the droppings and shavings as compost in the future, I was thinking about using the stuff called 'Manna Pro Coop 'N Compost Neutralizer' to sprinkle on the coop floor and the possibly in the dirt run.

Has anyone used this stuff before? Does it work? etc?

Are there any alternatives to this?

Thanks!

What are you using on the boards?
I use Sweet PDZ and scoop the poop out of that. I scoop the boards every morning. I clean the coop bedding out once a year.
My coop doesn't smell.
When I empty the poop bucket into the compost bin it'll make your eyes melt.

Ok! I saw the PDZ stuff for Chicken coops online but its only a 10lb back where as I can get the other stuff, that says its for horse stalls from TSC in a 25lb bag for about the same price? Will the horse stall variety work for the coop and for compost? Rather than the chicken coop variety? Thanks!

Yes the horse PDZ is fine.
