Hey everyone, firstly, thanks for taking a look and possibly responding.

Secondly, My DH has decided that I am worth spending a little extra money on and has offered to get me a better-than-styrofoam incubator. I currently have 5 from TSC and have had ok luck with them.

My question to all you breeder's / hatchaholics is, what type of incubator do you use and why do you like that particular model?

I'm trying to do small scale silkie breeding for fun and possibly hatch other eggs for people down the road and my broody hens get confused often...

Again, thanks for your input.

My husband has been looking at the GFQ Sportsmans, we have an old Jamesway that holds close to 3k bantam eggs, but that just seems to be over kill for what I'm wanting/looking to do. With the foamies I can hatch quail almost like an expert! (98% hatch rate) but the turkey, ducks, chickens and guinea eggs range from 80%- down to 5% in the foamies... I don't like that for my chickens...

This is the one that I want... but hubby said it was too much...

I think he is looking for one that I can put multiple hatches in, you know, at least 12 eggs a week or somewhere around that.

Get a Dickey 2X2. I love my Dickey incubator.

Ok, that looks awesome for the price! I may have to do some persuading to the DH before leaving NC and go pick one up! I'm guessing Dickey is a small business? If so, then I am that much more for them! Thanks so much for showing me that!

Yes, he is a small business. He runs the business I believe out of his house. I have a incubator and a hatcher and absolutely love both of them.
