Hi all I am on day 15 of my second hatch batch.
In this batch I have a mixture of eggs:
14 Dorking eggs (we picked up from DC Heritage in Quebec)
13 of my own Amaraucana eggs
13 of my Barn yard mix (blue Amaraucana roo and white leg horn, RIR, & red sex link hens)
I candled last night (Day 14) and have a brilliant fertilization rate All 40 eggs except one yoker (dorking egg) and one Amaraucana egg that I’m confused by... its not a yoker (like the dorking egg) it’s very dark i do see an air cell but it’s so dark I don’t see veins... I have left it in as I’m not 100% and don’t want to pull it out if it is developing... has anyone had similar candling experience with the air sac?
mum included a picture of the dorking egg being candles as well as the Amaraucana egg that’s confusing me.

Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
