Hatch date is 4/16!!! First time hatcher here....Anyone else?!

I have 29 eggs set, hatch date is 4/16, it is my first time, and I am so excited! I pray I have at least a little success! My eggs are quite a mix, i did not want to invest in some of my most desired breeds because I have no idea how i will fair! So i used my own flock, and purchased a dozen of frizzled cochin crossed with cochins and EE's and brahmas. my flock should produce mostly full barred rocks, and then a mix of other heavy layers.

I was curious if anyone else set eggs this weekend and wanted to journey through this together! next stop, candle the eggs at day 5, or is it 7?

Hey kaitlyn i got 12 game eggs set Sat 3/26/2011 due to hatch 4/15/2011 i to am tring a bator i just built so i got some cheap eggs well i guess $3.50 a doz. is not cheap for egg lol. If i screw thing up it won't be to bad. temp running 100 and humitity 55. The humitity in this area is high all the time i live in lower Alabama keep us posted and good luck

DUE On the 17th!

This is our first time hatching so I am super nervous. We set 55 egg in the bator and they all will be a mix also- since we have a dominque rooster--Barred Rock, RIR, and EE hens... Should be some interesting chicks! Or what I like to call Bacyyard Beauties!

Wow those will be some very pretty chicks! I have mostly mixes as well, some silkie eggs, and a dozen ameraucana eggs in my second bator. those will be set this week im thinking. i havent gotten them yet. I have 18 hours between my 2 sets of eggs in my incubator, do you think when lock down comes, its ok for them to stay together? or should I move the second group into my other bator for 18 additional hours? Thanks for any advice!

I had one pip day 18, 3 am!!! and she hatched at 830 last night! doing well so far this morning!!! No other pips yet. today begins day 19 for some, and 20 for the other!!! Good luck everyone!!!!!

I have some hatching right now that were due on the 16th too. Woke up this morning to 2 FBCM, 2EE and 4 Ameraucanas with more pipping!
