My chicks are hatching in the incubator and the first one seems to be blowing bubbles. Does this mean my humidity is too high? It is reading 65% on the hygrometer.
Thanks for your help.
The number says it is ok for lockdown, but have you confirmed it with a second source?
Is there any condensation of the incubator? If so that would be a sign it is to high.
The bubbles may actually be from high humidity during the first 18 days, but there may be something else causing it.
I try to get my humidity to 65% when I go to lockdown but when a bunch hatch and add all that moisture to the incubator my humidity can sometimes reach 85% to 90%. I've never had one blowing bubbles. I don't know what it is but I'm not convinced it is a humidity issue.
