I hatched an egg off my blue copper marans hen and my mix roo yesterday and it seemed fine and normal. I moved everybody out to the brooder today and noticed it wasn't putting weight on its leg. The two outside toes are grown together but it's getting around enough to eat and drink on its own. I'm really hoping it doesn't need to be culled. Has anyone had this happen and know why or what I could do? I read that the chick could've been too big for egg and if so could it happen again? Any advice is much appreciated! Thank you.
