I think you won't start seeing ads from locals until the end of April. Two of the feed stores in Mustang have baby chicks now.

What kind of chickens are you looking for? A lot of the breeders on the Okie Forum go to the Blanchard auction that is every two weeks, I believe. Post on the Okie Forum want you are looking for and some can probably bring them to you at Blanchard when they hit the auction.

I have 2 Blue Splash Meron hens and 1 rooster. I love their eggs and temperament. I tried incubating and only have 1 out of 7 left in there that may hatch. Now I am looking for chicks because I want egg layers out of them by fall. Do you know anyone in the Oklahoma City area that carries the Blue Splash Meron? I found Blue Merons at Young's Feed Store, but not exactly what I am looking for.
