Hatchery choice

When you order the hatchery choice (I was looking at Ideals hatchery choice on ducks) is it just random ducks or do you get like mixed breeds or sick ones? My 2 year old wants quack quacks. I guess chickens, turkeys, quail, and guineas aren't enough.

the hatchery chooses a random assortment of breeds
they it does not mean they are sick

You get the uhhh "chef's special" whatever hatches and doesn't have a specific order for (example 302 call ducks hatch and only 288 have been ordered, so the other 14 can be hatchery choiced.

For those of you who have done this before did you get a good variety?

No respectable hatchery would send sick birds of any kind. That would be asking to ruin their reputation. If your kids want ducks, get them some runner ducks. Nothing like a duck that walks like a penguin.
