I put this tread in the hatching section because baby chicks are the gateway addiction.

You may be a chicken addict if:

You hatch in the winter, because you cannot wait until spring.

You have more than enough birds, yet still hatch.

Before your chicks are done incubating, you are thinking about the next batch you are going to incubate.

You hide your incubator so your spouse doesn't know you are hatching.

I am sure you all can come up with more...

EXACTLY why I am trying my best not to buy an incubator! I am already hatch-addicted in my dreams. Just love those little balls of fluff. Please don't let my husband read this post because he is already overwhelmed with the current need for a larger coop and new pens.

Christmas is coming up :D
I went overboard in the spring. I had about 60 chicks at one point.

Today's catch... so far day 21, of 6, 2 out 3 pips, and a hiding egg...too close to call.

We built this 20X35 chicken mansion, it has a 40X35 outside pen with chicken wire roof. Also, have the 8X12 little shed I just moved the flock out of for future chicks. I am thinking ahead, right now I only have 18 chickens and 8 in the bator hatching today (or tomorrow).
