Hatching at different times

i had four of my twenty quail eggs hatch on day 11, then had one on day 14, then four on day 16. still waiting for more, but why the differene in hatching. the guy i got them off of stored his hatching eggs outside in the barn. the temp was over a hundred here for 18 days straight. yall think they could have started developing before they went into the bator??

I think they probably did start developing while in the barn, causing such a spread in hatch times.

i just set 56 more that i had shipped from oregon...... hoping for a more uniform hatch out of them. never know what they have been through or what temp they were at during shipping though.
