Absolutely! This will be a new experience for me.

I moved my hen out of the main coop last night - she had been sitting in one of the 3 nesting boxes for about 6-7 days - I put golf balls under her yesterday morning as she had been sitting on air. I moved her into a rabbit cage in the same enclosed pen. I put in a nesting pad, the eggs (I had to order them as no rooster here!) aspen wood shavings, water and some crumbles and scratch. This morning she is still sitting on the eggs, but has picked at the food and pooped (very little though). I could just see one of the eggs, so I wonder if I gave her too many - 6. She is a Wyandotte.

Mine is in the main coop, but shes seperated. Shes in a big dog cage on a shelf in the coop, I covered the cage with a old sheet, so she can have privicy. My broody is a Welsummer/ game cross. She tends to go broody a lot.... this is her second time going broody within 6 months. and she is 1 years old. She hatched eggs in the middle of winter, and she did pretty good, 2/3 hatched the third egg diddent pip. So im counting on her to hatch me some babies.
Oh and I see you said your new to this, well I can help if you have any questions.
